Ye Jeevan Hai
Sung by Sablu Mukesh
[Dear Readers, I am starting my singing journey in Sulekha
from today onwards. The very first song I have rendered for
sulekha is Ye Jeevan Hai. along with my guitar chords.
The song was originally sung by Kishore Kumar from film
Piya Ka Ghar who rendered it excellently based on brilliant
composition of Laxmikant Pyarelal and marvelous lyrics of
Anand Bakshi . The film was released in the year 1972.]
Ye Jeevan Hai Yis Jeevan Ka
Yahi Hai Yahi Hai Yahi Hai Rang Roop
Thore Gum Hai Thori Khushiyaan
Yahi Hai Yahi Hai Yahi Hai Chaoon Dhup
Yeh Jeevan Hai
Ye Na Soncho Yis Mein Apni
Haar Hai Ke Jeet Hai
Yise Apnaalo Jobhi Jeevan Ki Reet Hai
Ye Zid Choro Yuna Toro
Har Pal Ek Darpan Hai
Ye Jeevan Hai………………Dhup
Dhan Se Na Duniyaa Se
Ghar Se Na Dwaar Se
Saasoon Ki Dorr Bandhi Hai
Pritam Ke Pyar Se
Duniyaa Choote Par Na Toote
Yeh Aisa Bandhan Hai
Yeh Jeevan Hai……………..Dhup

In fact to take these privileges and to explore my talent in Sulekha International Website, many credits go to you because I was very inspired by reading your excellent blogs on mouth organ and listening to your melodious instruments too. These blogs of yours interested me to register myself in Sulekha and soon I did it and I have been achieving success in this famous site yeh aapka meharbaani hai sir.. These are because of all of your inspirations. Dear Sablu,
Three cheers to you for such a melodious and flawless performance! Who says you are an "Amateur" performer? With this rendition you sound like a pro to me. Keep it up. As far as technical nitty gritties are involved, Kamath Sir is always there for you. Only one thing - do not take it negatively. The "Yeh" part of Yeh jeevan hai did not sound correct. What it was I do not know as I am not technically perfect. I think the "yeh" should have come out as "Hyeh". The emphasis on "Ha" probably gives the "Yeh" a more sad touch as it appears as if the singer is sighing!
Keep it up and post more songs. Looking forward to more songs.

Dear Sablu Mukesh,
I gave a comment below which you please read before this . In my previous comment, I forgot to add few more points on your singing. As some readers commented that you have a nasal voice which I do not agree with. I do not think you have a nasal voice. Also I noticed that you have a very good control over notes just like a professional singer. Your voice modulation is just perfect. And most importantly, you have put your sad expressions in the song so well that the song touches the heart of the listener. You correctly braught out sadness of the song.
Since you can play Guitar yourself, the song sounds very good with your Guitar Chord. With a Guitar and Good Voice you do not need Karaoke Track to sing. Unless one sings at an amplification to the level of Karoake, the song does not match with rich music of Karoake unless one has a very high pitch voice.
You did just right thing here by simply using a Guitar with your soft beautiful voice which sounded like a blend between Kishore Kumar and Kumar Shano (minus Nasal Tone).
I already recommended you blog.
Keep up the Good Work!
Regards,
Dr. Kamath

Dear Sablu Mukesh,
Maan Gaye Ustaad! Very Well Sung!! And that Guitar Chord was just superb. Your rendering touched my heart. It sounded almost like voice of Kishore Kumar. It seems to me now that you are a very Good Singer. No wonder you get so much of applause from audience whenever you perform LIVE on stage in Bangalore.
Only thing is when you sang "Thodi Khushiya", in this you sang "Thodi" very fast, in actual song "Thodi" is sung like "Tho..Di" with slow pace. Just listen to original song. Other than that you have done a marvellous Job here. I liked a little variation you braught in the begining, I give you 10 out of 10.
Aapne to Guru Ki Laaj Rakh Li!!!! Mujhe maloom nahin tha ke aap itna accha gaate ho.
Please post many many songs in Sulekha like this one with Guitar in the background. You have a bright future in singing!
Very Well Done!!!
With Blessings!

First about the song .This is one of the finest compositions of LP and it is a favourite song of mine.
Well at last we have a singing star at Sulekha! Kudos! First this is a best song choice for the guitar chords. Right from the start the beats were in tune . I recently have seen you excelling in mouth organ . The guitar playing was equally good .Hope to see more on using these instruments.
You have a good voice . When you say this is your first song in singing it is too good .There is definitely scope for improvement in singing but as far instruments playing is concerned you are awesome.
Keep surprising us
Thanks
