Dear readers, I am presenting one of my favorite songs for Sulekha. I have sung this song on my guitar chords. This is one of the evergreen and immortal songs originally rendered by Kishore Da in Film Mere Jeevan Saathi, Music by RD Burman and Lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri. I have also depicted the following guitar chords.
O mere dil ki chain.........Bm
Chain aaye mere dil ko.....A
Duwa kijiyee..........Bm.....2
Stanza 1: Apna hi saaya dekh ke tum.............Bm A
Jaane jahan sharma gaye.....A Bm
Abhi tu ye pahli manzil hai.......Bm A
Tum tu abhi se ghabra gaye.....A Bm
Mera kya hoga socho to jara......D
Haye aise na aanhein bhara kijiyee...A Bm
O mere...............................kijiyee...Bm A, Bm
Stanza 2: Aapka armaan aapka naam..... (follow the same above mentioned chords in the following stanzas)
Mera tarana aur nahin
In jhukti palkon ke siva
Dil ka thikana aur nahin
Jajta hi nahin aankhon mein koyee
Dil tum ko hi chahe tu kya kijiyee
O mere.............................kijiyee
Stanza 3: Youn tu akela bhi aksar
Gir ke shambhal sakta hoon mein
Tum jo pakad lo haath mera
Duniya badal sakta hoon mein
Maanga hai tumhe duniya ke liye
Ab khud hi sanam faisla kijiyee
O mere ................................kijiyee

Dear SV Nathan-Ji,
Bahut Khub, bahut Khub,
Sau baar sukriya, aree Sau baar sukriya, aapko mera hazaar sukriya.
Many thanks Nathan-ji for your wonderful words. Aaap logon ko mera gana pasand aaya ye meri kushnasabi hai aur mera taqdeeer ahi. Samaj mein nahin aata ke kin sabdon mein aapko sukriya ada karon. Bus isi tarah mere hosla ko buland karte rahiye aur mein aage badta jaonga.
Also I thank a lot to you for your soulful suggestions which I like very much. It’s great from your side for my perfection in singing. I too think after my rendition that I ought to have rendered in this manner. I appreciate the point of both you and Dr Saab about khul ke gana. 100% u are correct. Jahan tak Kishore da ke awaz ki baat hai in this respect also I have the same opinion fo my own rendition. But God promise I am telling it’s my natural voice. I am trying my level best to bring my own identity in my singing style. It’s not I am deliberately putting my efforts to produce exact KK vocal. Nathan sahib ye statement mein aapko nahin Kah raha hoon But I am conveying the facts to the general people. Because 99% public have the same opinion about me.
Nathan-Ji ek baat poocho kahin Kishore da ne mujhe aapna awaaz to nahin depute kar diya mere gale mein. Ke beta mein to is duniya mein nahin raha lekin tu jo mere bachpan se great fan rahe ho tu mein tumhe aapna awaz taufa dekar je raha hoon. Nathan-ji just joking don’t take it seriously.
Kishor kumar was Kishore kumar. I am not even 25% of his caliber in singing. He is my Guru.
Aur natahn-ji aapka kuch line mujhe bahut achhac laga . mein to aap jaisa parody aur shayari nahin kar sakta. And I love this number also from the same film.
'Aajka din hai kitna suhaana, Sun liya gaana tera---Ho,
O--Ho, Shukriya Sablu-ji, Tumne diya humko yeh nazraana,
Deewana leke aaya hai dil-ka taraana,
Deewana leke aaya hai dil-ka taraana!
God bless you all
Regards,
Sablu Mukesh

Dear Kamath Sir,
Thanks a ton for your outstanding comments and recommendation to my blog.
I soulfully reciprocate your wishes and compliments to my skill and talents which is bringing color and achievements in my rendition.

This wonderful thing again from your side. Since you are one of the proficient musicians with the sound knowledge of music pertaining to various aspects: rhythm, raga; tune; vocal chords; etc. factors and you are maestro in flute and mouth organ rendition and also some other musical instruments. Your feedback enthusiasts me a lot and give me a power to go ahead in this perspective.
I thank you once again for your kind encouragements, suggestions, and honest opinion for sake of my rendition.
Please also listen my latest rendition from the following link where I tried my level best to render my own style.
It’s Rafi number which I find quite complicated to render but anyway tried my style.just Listen and take your own time for giving comments.

Dear Sablu Mukesh,
A wonderful singing performance once again and I give you full marks. Only problem I found was that when you sang 'Dil' in "Dil ke Chain", you sing 'Dil' very fast and you go offkey and offbeat. You did same thing in singing "Thodi" in "Thodi Kushiyaan" of previous song "Ye Jeevan Hai".
Also like Mr. Nathan pointed out you should try to sing with 'Open' or "Khula Galaa". Also try not to think to sing in Kishore Kumar's voice. Instead of that try to sing in your own voice and this suggestion of mine will take you to greater heights in your singing career.
But you did sound brilliantly like Kishore Kumar. Very Good Rendition once again.
I think Dr. V.S.Gopal Ji has a stiff competition from you and it looks like you are threatening his Number One position in Sulekha singing platform. From now on it looks like there will be "Battle-Royale" between you as Kishore Kumar and Dr. V.S.Gopal Ji as Mohd Rafi. Let us see what both of you do in Sulekha in coming days. I am sure Sulekha readers only have a right to determine through voting as to who will Number One Singer in Sulekha.
Dr. V.S. Gopal Ji zara Sablu se bach ke Rahiye!
Warm Regards,
Dr. Kamath

Nice rendering, Sablu-ji!
I can see (rather hear) you perfecting!
At low octaves, you almost sound like Kishore-Da!
I think if you sing aur zara khulke, the effect would be better!
I am sure you will take valuable technical feedback from more experienced singers and evolve into an accomplished singer.
Aapse prerit hokar mujhe bhi gaaneka keeda kaatne laga hai! I recorded 4 lines in my voice from another KK song from the same film, but I guess there is no provision for linking audio-file in 'Comment' column. So I will type them for you:
'Aajka din hai kitna suhaana, Sun liya gaana tera---Ho,
O--Ho, Shukriya Sablu-ji, Tumne diya humko yeh nazraana,
Deewana leke aaya hai dil-ka taraana,
Deewana leke aaya hai dil-ka taraana!
Regards,
S.V.Nathan.

Sablu,
I heard this again, today. Really very well sung. Not one wrong note. Great 'sur' adherence. You have an excellent 'tala' sense too. The singing was simply marvellous, close to professional. Your breath-breaks were correct. At my age, I keep breaking the phrases but unavoidable.
I am happy and proud for your progress.
cheers
