Hi Sharma,

Million of thanks to you. I am very delighted to read your appreciative and some suggestive feedback. I appreciate your prompt and nice comments. You have been always prompt and kind to me. It’s very nice to know that you too have deep love for music and you were learning music from blind teacher and your voice seems to be sonorous. You would have better continued it. Anyway, music does not at all has any correlation with ages. As you guess my age and gave your kind wishes for my success in this field. I extend my sincere thanks to you. Right now I am 37 years old.  But I feel, I have spirit of 20 years active chap this spirit of mine I hope will give me a power to build my future prospects in music. I pray to God. It’s nice to read your honest opinion that great I always like from listeners and I honestly take these matters in very positive sense and try my level best to rectify it.

Have nice moments!

Cheers!

God bless you all

Dear Kamath Sir,

Thanks a ton once again to you for your soulful opinion and comments. I always respect your honest suggestions. As I mentioned in my reply to Nathan-Ji ke Dr Saab is 100% correct in his analysis. I too agree with you 100% that my voice suits for KK rendition.

Aur Kamath Sir kahin aisa to nahin hai Ke Kishore Da sirf mujhe apna hi gana gane ko allow karte hai kahin dusra singer ka gaya to jurmana lagega. Kamath Sir mujhe aap hi suggest kijiye ke main kya karoon?. And yes seriously I am asking this question to you that how can I bring my own originality in my voice? Ek bahut majedaar event aapko mein sonata hoon, I forgot to narrate you before. Once I was endeavoring for sa re ga ma music contestants. I send my records for audition and evaluation. What response I got do you assume that, I got reply that it’s not my original voice rather I have made the analyzer fool by recording the voice of KK and take credit of my own voice. But God promise, Khuda kasam it was my own voice. I was so disappointed and broken I left my rendition for past many years and was totally busy in my official project for a long time. Specially, my father and my whole family have been totally against my singing aspect since my childhood this was  the most unfortunate thing in my life. Meri to haal thi ghar ki murgi daal barabar jaisi. Aap samaj sakte hain. So these were some bad events in my life. Kher choriye in baaton ko. I am sorry I was diverted again in different direction.

I am glad  to read your advice and will definitely follow in my rendition. So far I have recorded few songs of Rafi. So let me post these songs. Later on, I will try to render KK’s songs as per your advices. By the way, how about maidam? How is she? Convey my best regards to her. And did she listen my songs? How did she feel about my rendition? Kindly give your response in your next reply.

 Regards,

Sablu Mukesh

God bless you all

Hello Sablu,

A lot has been said in this comments column. So I will keep it to the point.
I love your voice, period!
I did not know who originally sang this song, so your voice simply sounded like Kishore to me!!
You are obviously very smart and very aware of your voice, the tone, the prosody etc!  Me being an armchair critic, I can point out a few little quirks with respect to this song only.   The Nahin, Nahin parts seemed a bit weak and shaky. In a couple of other places you probably noticed the lazy voice too!
On the whole, I don't know how young you are, but you will definitely go places with that voice. A better microphone and digital recording, you can eliminate some unnecessary noices etc.
Pardon my rather unpolished style of pointers, because I have not been trained in music for more than 2 or 3 months. I had a blind teacher when I was a teen who used to come home to teach Carnatic beginnings. But I was more interested in knowing how he got around town alone than in the music lesson itself!   But I always hum pretty well in the shower where the added resonance from the tiles makes my voice sonorous! Without the tiles, my voice does not seem to go anywhere!

Dear SV Nathan-Ji,

Bahut bahut sukriya aapkoek baar phir for your great feedback and kind suggestions for my better rendition. I take my pleasure to read your comments. I love your words to go through. Nice to know you enjoyed my mast rendition.

In fact, you brilliantly pointed that that I brought my own originality in my voice but Dr Saab also is very brilliant in analysis. One thing he is 100% correct about my rendition of KK songs. And yes I do agree with you. You are correct that I am lacking some what a sense of joy in this song . Nathan-Ji for God sake don’t’ compare my performance with Rafi Saab. Kahan Mohd. Rafi aur Kahan Mein. I am kid near Rafi’s singing. Anyway mein aap logon ka bahut bara sukrgujaar hoon. You people are so kind for me it’s my great fortune. Kahan milte hain aise log.

Thanks Natyhan-ji isi tarah mujhe inspire kare aur ha you always welcome to give your honest opinion that is most important aspect for me.

Regards,

God bless you all

Dear Gopal Sir,

Thanks a ton to you for your great compliments to my singing. I soulfully appreciate a lot your kind inspirations for my songs. I too heartily reciprocate your talents.

Specially, I have become a fan of your singing since you have variations in your voice and you can excellently render songs of Talat Mehmood, Hemant Kumar, Mukesh etc. which are mesmerizing to listeners. No doubt, you are no.1 singer of Sulekha and I am inspired by your singing.

You liked my Rafi’s style rendition, it’s my pleasure to know. I tried my level best to use my own style of singing in this particular song. What I feel Gopal sir, I am of opinion that it’s not mandatory to follow exactly the original style of singing. We can have our own creations and put emotions in our rendition.  Do you agree with me? I hope so. And, moreover, music’s taste differs from person to person.

Thanks with regards,

God bless you Sir,

Dear Sablu Mukesh,

I just heard this song. You did a pretty good job. However, I think this Rafi Song did not suit you because your voice quality and range matches with that of Kishore Kumar and with Rafi.

Kishore Kumar songs suit you very well. And moreover this Rafi song being a slow song, you had to put up lots of effort to balance your vocal chord to maintain the rhythm. Like many other readers pointed out, the soul of the song was missing. I would rather advise you to sing Kishore Kumar songs which suit you very well.

Also, I think the first  Kishore song that you sang on Sulekha "Ye Jeevan Hai" is your BEST so far. In this "Ye Jeevan Hai" song, you have put lots of true emotions and you sang this song with great concentration. Hence it sounded very well.

So for future songs, please pay attention to put soul into the song like you did in the song "Ye Jeevan Hai".

Overall in this Rafi song, you did a good job.

This is my advice to you as your "GURU", so please so not mind if I give my honest opinion on your singing. My advice and advice by other readers will definitely help you to improve your singing to greater heights.

God Bless You!!!

Kind Regards,
Dr. Kamath

Dear Sablu-ji,
It was a 'mast' rendition! You got all the nuances of the song right, your voice was natural (that is tending towards KK for a Rafi song!) and the guitar was great! It was technically perfect. But Sablu-ji, still something was missing! I think you sounded a bit 'serious' for a light-hearted flirtatious romantic song! If you hear Rafi singing such songs, you can almost visualise him singing with a big smile! So next time you sing a happy song, get into the mood, do SMILE and ENJOY the experience! Otherwise, you are doing just fine. Keep it up!
regards,
Nathan.

Hi Sablu,
I had earlier given my provisional comments and had promised to come back.
I think that your voice has come out the best in this. The rendering is excellent. The gamakas and harkats are very good.
The last two antaras are missing from the printed lyrics.
Excellent on the whole.
cheers
